Adsense Hacking/cracking content

I have a website about freeware (signature). I don't want to write articles only about free of charge software made by other people. I've also programmed some applications, including a keylogger - program that saves the user inputs.
I want to post the keylogger on my website for people to download (for free). Is it okay if I make a detailed description of the program and have adsense on that page? The application doesn't have viruses/backdoors. I've seen some other sites displaying adsense ads on pages where someone was promoting a keylogger.
Will I get banned because of the "Hacking/cracking content" policy?

    Thanky you,
    Nicholas

    hacking/cracking = against ToS.

If you have static pages, dont include it.
If you have dynamic pages, write an if/else in php to not show an ad on that page.

You can always try. 90% (arbitrary number) tos breaker will never be caught anyway.
I'd hate to be the one in 10%.........

yes, but am I really breaking the TOS with this? I'm going to promote it as a security measure for personal computers. I've read (wikipedia) that not all keyloggers are illegal. In some corporations they use keyloggers to make sure that employees are doing what they should do.
as i've said above, i've seen adsense ads about keyloggers. can someone please clarify? :(

I dont believe you are breaking TOS as your content is not specifically a content / hacking site.. google manly dont like sites that are straight out providing illegal access or back doors.. AND alot of corporates use keylogging SW for legit uses.. so although it can be used for hacking etc thats up to users.. so maybe nave some sort of explanation in your sales page like that..

I say run the ads on the page and then email Adsense and ask to check if your page is breaking TOS and if so you will immediately pull it down..they love it when you email them for advice plus its covers your 6.

    good luck!

This would fall under warez and illegal content, so it's obviously against the TOS.

Dude you dont know what your talking about. Its a software program, the content of the site does not promote WAREZ at all.. do you even know what WAREZ are?

Nicholas just do what I said I am a long time Adsense publisher and talk to Google often and trust me they really appreciate it when you make an effort to contact them and they will tell you straight up yes or no. If they say no then just remove the Adsense code from that page as the rest of your site is fine. It is possible that they might say no to that page only as its depends on the mood of the actual Adsense staff member who views the page, but Google have this performance metrics run by a separate company and they aim for 90% positive feedback.. so after contacting support you most likely will get an email from them asking how you felt about the support etc, similar to what eBay do.. and because of this Google staff are always very nice and helpful as they dont want to fail the performance report.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=980122

This guy had a similar encounter with Adsense and he blogs about it on his blog.. his blog link is on the thread.. I think you will find it worth while.. just dont mention that the key logger can be used to crack / hack etc
