Adsense Hack...Increased CTR!!!

I just increased my click through rate.
I placed text ads right below my single page post.

Pay attention. "Right below the single post page"
    Yes. Guess why?

Because then users have read your post and they will see the ads. Now remember they are text ads. image ads won't get same CTR. Trust me i did my research and it works.

Most people place the text ads on top but i put mine at the bottom.

Check it here http://bit.ly/a8UCCm and http://bit.ly/bOSn4L

Yes, this strategy is also good to increase CTR.
I am using both strategies, putting ads on top of the article and end of the article.
Till now by how much percent your CTR increased?

This is great sharing! Have you compared this placement with the one if you float in the post?

Yes it is right. But many bloggers removed that placement and are keeping it below post. Maybe against adsense TOS... hmm.. confused.

I guess it depends on if you made your site with the expectation that people will want to read your content. A lot of my sites don't provide what people are searching for, so they click the ads to find what they ARE looking for!

No that is not against any adsense TOS.
I recently got a email from adsense team giving some tips. And they said you should integrate ads in between content.

Look who will click on ads below a title if the article they want to read is below and they haven't read it.
Putting ads after content is best because now they have finished reading and they want to probably go somewhere else...so they see Text ads!!!

So that's what a "hack" is...

You put ads where people could see them. That's some top notch thinking. But hack? Really?

I think text ads work well when the site has contents e.g. news, blog entries, article, etc. But I find Image ads to work well with entertainment related sites e.g. Games site, DVDs, Music, etc.

Thats a good point. Thats what i am doing. I have CPM image ads on the websites. So what i did is have google adsense ads be text ads and the CPM ads be image ads. That way google adsense will look different and will still get attention even with the other image ads. So it is a psychological logic. That way the text ads will even get more attention because they will see several banner ads and the text ads will look different

ideally in a blog you should have the first one between title+tags and article content, if possible inside the text with div float:left
Then one right below the article, before anything else.
And the last one as a 160x600 in your right column. As first or right below a small menu.

That should work fine for CTR.

Nice share. Google ads disguised as Top level horizontal menu also improves CTR considerably.

Of course, you are right. for short article, putting adsense right below the title does increase its CTR.
