I made this post hoping that new Adsense users can get an idea on how to earn with Adsense. The only pre-requisite is - please have an Adsense account! I started earning with Adsense in 2006 with lots of help. Help can not only save money but it can also save time. First - read through all of the TOS that Adsense has here - https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms Next, you can choose with either a free blogging platform like Blogger or you can purchase a domain from Godaddy or Namecheap.com (my preferred sources). Along with some hosting, you can start making Adsense websites easily. Following the new Google Caffeine powered search engine, please choose a host wisely. Choosing a cheap host can seriously damage your websites ranking or SERPs. After choosing a template for your website, proceed to adding content. Please try to make the content as original as possible. I ran a few test runs. Websites with unique content do not always win over websites with copied content. Although your account may be in danger while using copied content, as long as you give sources, you're fine. Adding content comes first. Don't add your ad codes immediately. Add about 20-40 articles each with around 500-1000 words with proper spacing and grammar. Even though this has nothing to do with SERPs and tracking, it will make your visitors read through your website and making visitors stay on your website can lead to higher CTR. The proper Adsense earning website will always have priorities set right. Use only a single or a maximum of 2 ad units on your website. If you are using a low competition niche, this will always lead to higher CTR and higher eCPM (I have tested these). Use a single link ad unit on your website and try to add Google Search ads on your website too. Your priority should be giving the users what they want and in return you will get clicks. Make sure you clearly distinguish your ad zones by giving them a similar but different color scheme for the text and the same background color. Do not put ads near images or anything that might entice your users to click on your ads. Once you have all this setup, time to get your site indexed! The easiest way to get your site indexed is to submit your website to Google webmaster tools. You can also use social bookmarks like Reddit, Propeller etc. Digg also helps but ever since it was changed to no-follow, things haven't been the same. Here is a list of social bookmarking sites you can use - http://www.blogmarketingtactics.com/social-bookmarking/social-bookmarking-top-links.html After you site starts appearing on the Google search engine (use google alerts for knowing when that happens), time to raise your ranking. Ranking means on which page your site appears. There are thousands of similar sites and you will want to reach the first 2 for proper traffic. For this, you will backlinks. Backlinks are links that are aimed at your website from other websites and the search engine decides that the websites with the most number of backlinks are the ones with the best content. Directories are the easiest way to get solid backlinks. You can also get backlinks by commenting on other blogs with similar content. List of directories - http://www.onewaytextlink.com/links.php?type=free&pagenum=1 To find blogs to comment on, use the following search pattern - "add your comment"+"your keyword" Another easy way to get backlinks, extremely good backlinks is video marketing. Youtube is best way to get those. Submit a video about your niche and put your website URL in the description. Maintaining your SERPs - 1) Keep adding content 2) Avoid selling and buying links 3) Keep up with the latest in search engine news 4) If your CTR is around the 3% range, you're doing something right. Don't change it Adding on revenue - you can use CPA offers on your websites for extra revenue.
Thanks a lot friend now i know what must me our ctr i was searching for it and got the answer here ...
This sounds a little muddled... You can create mygreatsite.blogspot.com and use their server for free... You can also move the blog to mygreatsite.com and still use their server for free. That's not great advice. When Google finds duplicate content, regardless of quoted sources, they will filter out the duplicates or rank these pages far away from the first few pages that count. How can you make money like that when you can't be found?! "Newbies" to Adsense should be building blogs in very uncompetitive niches so that they can rank well in Google quickly. With duped content, that ain't gonna happen. You don't want to solve someones problem completely. The idea should be to provide a teaser so that they then click on an ad to find out more. I don't know how making content longer can improve CTR?! I thought increasing the volume of content on the page is what we do to cover more ground for our desired keywords or for the purpose of providing amazingly thorough content that gathers backlinks and readers. Short and snappy is the way to go for all those micro-niche bloggers out there. Otherwise, some good pointers there amigo!
I disagree with you on the first two I'm afraid. I've done testing all throughout my 4 years with Adsense. 1) I just meant that you need some kind of hosting, whether it be a free platform or a private host. If you choose a private host, make sure it's fast 2)Duplicate content can work as well original. I've tested and proven this to myself 3)I agree with you on this but in most cases, it's hard to do this so it's best you just give it your all
It's interesting what you say about duped content! I'd love the idea of scraping EzineArticles (using sources of course) and then putting it altogether on various blogs laced with ads. Would be all too easy, but would hate to spend time doing something like this only for one day getting filtered out or even worse completely de-indexed. Just some advice for anyone starting out. Celebrity/trends is not a great field to start off in. It's very easy to get 1000s of visitors in a very short space of time, but they'll usually be not one single click; this traffic does not convert well with Adsense. What does work extremely well is micro-niche blogging where there is a product or service in great demand. Make these blogs laser targeted and the blog posts short and snappy and you should see a CTR around the 4/5% mark.
Actually celebrity blogs perform well with high CTR. I used to run a few celeb blogs myself and they performed well with some good domain names.
Your Aussie readers sound very generous lol. Maybe I should try some email submits instead for the trend stuff. Take it easy.
Hello TheVccMatey. Great sharing here. Do you mind telling me how much do you make from Adsense every month? How many blogs do you have at the moment?
I do join JV's with other people since my own Adsense was blocked about 4 months ago. We keep the profits. We maintain around 140 blogs together totally earning around $300/day average.
According to the new Google Caffeine system, the page load time affects how good your websites are. Google webmasters can tell you by how much or how more your websites page load speed is.
