i've almost set up a deal with a well known political writer in europe. he agrees with me in letting me set up a news site with his articles translated in english. (let's say 2-3 articles a day) he already runs a successful blog but his site is complete junk, unoptimized and without any ads apart the ones of his publishing company with his books. now, do you think Adsense could work fine in a site like that or is better stick with CJ ? the content he writes is mainly geo-politics so the topics can be from china to middle east to russia to europe, pollution, banking, EU, scandals, etc even wanting, i can't think of any CJ merchant that would be really "contextual" to these things apart books about politics and so worth. is there any of you who run news-sites ? what kind of ads works better ?
Look at the keywords for some of those articles on a regular Google search. Knowing who advertises on the search network will give you some idea of what kinds of advertisers you are likely to get on the content network. By the sounds of things, it will vary a great deal from one article to the next.
