Adsense gone bonkers - not related to home page

For my site, www.mostpopularsites.net , the home page is filled with google adsense about Lamps, Lights, lighting fixtures.

The home page hasn't changed at all in 3-4 weeks and was running nicely showing links about site submissions, more traffic, etc. Then last friday it all switched to lamps and lights!

I don't even have those words on the page. WTH? I have emailed google adsense cust serv. about it and now must wait days to hear back.

    Any clues?

It says this on your site:

    and:

Based on all the words on your homepage they probably can't work out a theme/subject. Lamp related stuff is actually the only recurring theme it seems from a quick glance.

AdSense also seems to base the ads in IBLs and their anchor text so it's not all within your powers to force a subject.

You have a recently submitted section. You probably had a few submissions for lighting when the AdSense spider visited and because they are fairly high in the source code, you got lighting ads.

There seems to be certain themes that AdSense really hangs on when it finds them, regardless of the overall percentage. This is especially true when you have multiple themes like yours.

It should change again in 2-3 days

Oh crap, it's based off of the CACHED page?

I didn't realize that. Man, that makes things a lot more complicated for me as I list "new listings" etc that could really impact things.

BTW - I have a site google refused to add to google index (www.best-websites.net). How the heck does it do adsense for that then? (btw - that site does real well with google ads)

Indexing crawlers are not the same as Mediabot.

So I need to wait for them to re-crawl the home page?

Is there a way to see the cache they are using for that? I'm assuming there isn't?

I don't think there's any way of viewing the Adsense bot cache. You might consider putting a couple of paragraphs at the bottom of the homepage describing what the site is all about, that might help the bot figure it out:)

Yeah - I already have a huge paragraph at the bottom, didn't seem to help (paragraph has been there a long time)

    Yeah I saw this
But I was thinking along the lines of 5-8 times as long to offset all the other content on the page.

EDIT: BTW, thanks for approving my listing. :) Suggestion: on the create a new account page, if the username is already taken, you could have the script return to the original page with the form filled out (except for username) so the user doesn't have to type everything back in again. :)

Oh no now DP is stuck with your irrelevant ads.

Guess search history is used by Google to serve relevant ads as well. ;)

Waw my attachment is to large to add so i cant show the image of the irrelevant ads.

Yeah, here are the ads I'm seeing on this thread. Crazyhorse did you try to upload the whole screenprint as a bmp or something? :D

I find sometimes that making changes are not reflect for about 2-3 minutes... but they ARE reflected after that...so I don't think it's pulling from the "official search cache."
