    Hi,

I have a games website and using adsense on it. I think i am getting very low rate for clicks. Last month i had over 300 clicks and get 22$. Some one have any idea for me how i can improve the site and get better payments? i have seen on somedays when i get 2 clicks and 0.04$ for it.

hmm thats not even too bad... more then 10 cents a click...
What you should try is getting more ads on your sites with better blending.
By the way....i am looking at your site right now,and tough you are now only offering demo's op games, don't try to go offer full warez games, because you will be banned before you know it.

$0.10 per click is pretty good for a gaming website. Generally those type of sites will get a much lower CPC (mine included).

You can't really expect much more from arcade sites. They usually have ads for other arcade and entertainment sites. This industry does not have many big advertisers. Also, many get smartpriced because theyr trick people to click on ads, which leads to low conversion.

True, which is why I'm afraid that my arcade and myspace sites might be killing revenue on other sites due to smartpricing. Seems like my total revenue goes down as my total impressions and clicks go up.

I think you have right, if we take a look at http://www.adsblacklist.com/ then it shows a big list in game category.

Poor choice of niche, simply put. Gaming, videos, and humor sites, in general, pays pennies a click. It gets worst when you're smartpriced. My suggestion would be to use what you learned from the gaming site (marketing, SEO, ad placement, etc.) and apply it to a site with higher CPC.

I'm doing slightly better on my games site when I leaned my keywords to gaming computers, laptops, etc. Dell and other vendors pay a lot more because they are selling high value goods through their ads. I used links and articles to convince Adsense to show them. (Feel free to show my RSS feed on your sites, if it's of any use).

    Cheers, Cryo.

PS: Avoid the keyword 'free' in your ads - it's impossible to earn anything of ads for 'free' stuff, because they've got no way to make money either.

I concur. Switching to adbrite on my humor site has meant starting to make money off of it. As far as I know, adbrite doesn't have smart pricing so the range so far is 0.04-0.11. Better than 0.01-0.06 through adsense. No change to CTR, so I think thats the better route.

That's the reason why I never tried it, heard it was slow loading. Would like to see some good sites using it though, as examples.

It looks like you are getting around the average per click.

I have seen me get alot lower per click than you on my gaming site.

Gaming sites don't generally do all that well with Adsense

Yep, he earns from his site through Adbrite, Adsense, and alot of the CPM ad networks. He must be on more than $25,000 a day. A nice little amount of cash.

He should be making nearly $5,000/day with Adbrite alone. Ebaum's charges over $2000 for a one-week text link.

The recommendation that I can give you is for you to put your ads at the left side since human reads from left to right. According to your site, people will see the game first, then they will download it and leave the site (I assume)
    Hope this help

    Yeah,

I have seen that when I was looking for advertising. I think at the time I was looking for advertising he was charging around the amount your said and the advertisers were paying around $0.25 - $0.75 per click which is a little expensive for an entertainment site I would say.
