Adsense full banner ads - do they pay more?

I have a few retailers on my site that have text ads that take up an entire 160x600 space or 720x90 space. Do these ads tend to pay better than the ones that are split into 4 or 5 text ads? I want to know so I can decide if it is wise to block these particular merchants or not. Any information would be appreciated.

Google will always work in your interests and give you the higher paying ads. Blocking certain adverts which appear commonly is like shooting yourself in the foot ;)

Cool thanks for the info. It makes sense to me that they have to pay a premium to get these full ad space ads. That and I have seen an overall income rate lately. I have blocked a few advertisers in the past that were just not relevant.... "Get your aquarium ringtones today" type ads... Do you think that is wise?

I've done the same with similar ads on my sites, blocking ads that had nothing to do with my site (probably because either I didn't define section targetting or there wasn't enough ads for my area), and while it might have put lower-value ads in, at least people will be more likely to click on them.
