Adsense for UK publishers

With the new ads and the fact that the dollar is so poor against the pound, it's hardly worth busting a gut here in the UK anymore with adsense. Payouts are SO poor!!!

    Are there any European alternatives?

No, unless you want to try Kontera along side adsense.

I wouldn't say its that bad. Its currently £1:$2 and it was about £1:$1.9 a year ago. So its not all that bad.

As the prices of things in the USA are about 50% of those here, then Adsense is much more lucrative for US publishers in real terms than here in the UK. That's why I ask.

neforum you are right, its hardly worth it taking the U.S. $ considering how low it comes in against the pound.

Have you looked at Miva? Not sure what they are like for publishers but I know a few advertisers that use them.

If your sites are targeting UK traffic then aren’t you are going to get UK advertises displayed on your sites who are willing to pay more pounds for their ads... so you get more money per click anyway?

You only get a poor PPC rate (exchange rate) if you target US traffic form the UK.

If your moaning about the cost of living in the UK... not much you can do except move to the US I suppose....

Thats true. Sites with UK traffic earn a lot more per click compared to us traffic. UK sites can turn 50 visitors a day into $2 a day with adsense.
