Adsense for search

    Hi
Is anybody getting any joy with their adsense for search? I've had some queries but no clicks at all in the three weeks I've been running adsense. Also - Google mentions a charge for searches in its policies. Does this mean they'll take money off me at the end of the month?

The only thing I know is that the ppc with search is much lower. I think they take out the costs immediately with each click.

Okay, thanks a lot. So, hopefully no clicks no cost. It's probably not worth having it as so many people have the google toolbar anyway.

Searches are covered by contextual ads on your site. If you're not generating enough clicks to cover the websearch costs, google has the right to cancel your account...

I'm not making much money with adsense for search. Thats why I decided to use my own site search engine, and put adsense on search results page. Its work much better.

Have to admit, users prefer the easier to access AdSense ads, than use the Google search where I have it installed.

As the Google search box also includes a default backlink to Google (cheeky!) I'm tempted to try a more custom approach. I hear that Gigablast has been playing with some interesting options in site search.

I took it down from my main site.. Very low everything. When I get more pages indexed, I may bring it back.

One of the problems is the visitor has to actually think to do a search...they don't seem to want to do that ;-)

It aint working good for me. I usually get only .2 to .3 cents per day. Is there any way of optimising this search.?

alang... is that within TOS? I thought you could not put adsense on search result pages. My mistake probably and I am too lazy to go and look it up now.

I have AS search on my site. Doesn´t make much but it was enough last month to push the total over the $1,000 barrier.

Cool. Thanks for answering me on that. You are right of course, if in doubt, always ask Google.

I think once I have thousands of pages indexed in google I'll implement the toolbar again in the footer of the page for site search.. otherwise not worky good for me :)
