out of the two which one would you say gives you the best $ results I just installed Adsense for Search on my site but would like to know from more experienced members what their experience with it is like compared to the normal Adsense for Content. Thanks
I had drank the kool aid and plastered search all over all my websites. I got squat for it. Maybe 50 cents a month. I decided to offer better content to get people to stay without clicking away and not coming back via the search. Plus, not clicking after searching. Why give people a reason to surf away? Clicking on an ad at least you got paid on their way out. If they search, then you've lost them and they may not click the search results. The problem I see with search is, people (like me) go to google to do real searching. If you do the search, do custom keywords, have a custom logo, and have the results open in a new window. Its Adsense for Content which works better that Adsense for Search for most of the webmaster. However, the AfS may give you some add on earnings that may be missed if you are not using.
It depends on the type of website you've put up. Personally, I put AdSense for Search on the sites that visitors tend to pass through, but put AdSense for content on the websites with real informative content. AdSense for search and AdSense for content are two very different ways of earning AdSense cash. They can be mixed up a little but more often than not I use them on different kinds of sites. Search is good for earning residual AdSense cash whereas 'Content' is the real money maker for most webmasters. Good luck and I hope your final choice works for you.
I can't see AFS on the site you linked to! Anyway, Obviously most people will say AFC pays better unless they have a site aimed towards search. IMHO, AFS gives way better results than the standard WP one. If your going to have a search box on your site, you may as well have the best. If you make any money from it, consider it a bonus. I depends upon the placement of Adsense for Search and Adsene for content. In my case, both are giving me a good result in earning. TIP: always put the adsense for search at the top of your Archive to catch the readers attention to search.
