Although I've been using AdSense for about 5 months now, I'm thinking of using the AdSense for search feature on a blog I'm currently running. Can someone please explain me how the web publisher gets paid when people use the search feature?
If visitors have to search and click on the sponsord ads then you will get benefit otherwise not. Thanks!
when visitors search and click on the sponsored results you get paid. when they click on the regular search results you do not get paid.
Search only earns you a decent amount if you have TONS of visitors. Whereas normal adsense already makes a significant amount when you have a few thousand visitors, adsense for search needs 10 times that to make a difference to your end of month balance. For me it's really just pennies, where adsense itself pays in the hundreds of dollars. That said: for a large site having your own site search is just a good service to your visitors. And if you can make a tiny bit on ads as well, why not. But for a blog just starting out, I don't think it's worth it.
