Adsense for search, Extreme Stats

Just noticed that on one of my sites, my adsense for search resulted in * query yielding * clicks for a *% CTR, and a $*CPM.

Is this a usual thing? I'd be concerned that this not a usual and customary thing, and google may look on this as inordinate or out-of-pattern clicking. Is this a vulnerability?

Thanks. (By the way - I earned a whopping $0.** of this query).

I don't think its something that is usual happens.
Try email google adsense about this to be sure they won't disabled your account...
    Don't take any risk.

I've e-mailed them before, when I first announced to my extended family about my new sites, and as I got some adsense clicks I was concerned my family went click crazy (they assured me they didn't). I guess I'm concerned that if I keep contacting them, it will appear to be saying "sorry for all the money I'm earning, but I'm not illegally clicking...really...not this time either...I swear" - at some point, I may be building a rat where none exists, is my concern.

Hence, if this is not out of pattern, I'm not going to tip the bother, but if it is out of whack, I will contact them...

Seems like one person just went through a few of the results. I don't think its anything to worry about at the low of a volume. If it continues you should probably contact them.

your whopping .xx earning tells me that google knows who it was and has paid you the proper commission based on the event.

I think he means they paid you less than they should have for those clicks. Although i think he is wrong, they just might have been low paying clicks.

    I think I should clarify.

This would be the first I've seen of adsense for search money - quite honestly, the CTR and CPM were extradordinarily high - that was what shocked me, not how little in actual money I got. Nearly $*** in CPM seems high, and ***% CTR from one query did as well. So, not knowing anything about adsense for search - is it generally more than adsense for content? If it is, and these numbers are number, I'll say, great...as some have alluded, it seems so.

On the other had, if this seems out of pattern, then I wanted to get some input as to whether this seemed so, and if so, I wanted to watch and possibly report it.

Firstly just a friendly pointer that you are in violation of the ToS by making your CTR and Impressions known. It's valid even for Adsense for search.

Now a possible explanation for this could be that the person kept the search page open and clicked on a few ads (opening them as new pages). As for the high eCPM, it could just have been a fluke. You earned $0.xx from 1 query. That get's multiplied by 1000 and gives you $xx0 eCPM.

If your search function is used more often it's bound to even out and you won't see such huge eCPM results. Being just 1 query it seems huge, but actually amounts to $0.0x per click. It seems when calculating the eCPM for search, Google uses the number of queries instead of the number of clicks.
