Say you have a site where each page is defined to specifically address a zip code, for every zip in the U.S. - for example, content near 90210 . Is AdSense the best advertising application for this type of locally-targeted content? My concern is this: even though advertisers might choose to geotarget my region, I fear that Google's content matching algorithms will prefer to only look at visitor IP addresses - not the zip code attached to the page they are visiting. Maybe a different advertising platform is better for this purpose?
My underlying assumption is that geo-targeted content should bring in higher ad revenue - am I correct? Otherwise, my concern is unwarranted.
