Adsense for fashion related blog

Just wanted to ask that i am planning to start a blog on fashion related topic. I mean it will cover topics/posts on clothing, shoes, jewelry etc. I was just wondering how adsense works on this niche. Is it a high paying niche? Is there too much competition on this topic? Thanks

This niche is not paying high.
By the way, you can use adwords keyword tool to check on the keyword on your niche

It's not high paying, but a little above average I guess. You'd be better off working with keyword tools to target subniches in order to attract some long tail traffic. If you're precise, then the ads will be precise as well.

depends what you classify as high paying.

the best thing to do is look at average adword payout then look at average monthly search volumes against phrases which are related to your site and mix the two.

if fashion-related phrases are searched 1000 times a month and payout is $25 per click then that gives you a rough monthly income of $25k

if fashion related phrases are searched 25,000 times a month and payout is $2 per click then that gives you a rough monthly income of $50k

these are both examples but worth bearing in mind. sometimes (and often is the case) that the highest paying adsense adverts are the least searched!

f you go to the micro niches you might find a higher paying niche inside the fashion related topics like fashion design and fashion marketing or advertisement which has a payout of between 3.06 to 4.88. then you have to estimate how you will be getting from those pay outs per click

    hope this helps

For beginner, learn something here, check the payouts of your niche before build your website.

I don't know how good fashion niche, but usually for a simple check, I use spyfu, although people said the it's a good way.

I have a fashion related blog and it does the best for me, but it's more fashion industry related. Its not just about payout though. If you run a shopping blog people are looking to shop and tend to be more eager to click. You have to think about CTR as well.

You can also monetize it with the glam network (glam.com) when your blog is 3mos old+ and you can add affiliate links for shopping sites like ShopBop.com, Ebay, Zappos.com, PinkMascara.com, etc.

I would say build the site, get a ton of links and traffic and then go after advertiser's in the fashion biz personally. Just think if you have say 10 advertiser's paying you a meer $50 a month for a spot on your site, thats a good $500 a month.

you could also use ebay and chikita for the site as they would be much better fits for you.

If the products being advertised are valuable then it makes sense that the advertisers are likely to set a higher CPC.

Are you writing about designer clothes or cheap clothes. Fun jewellery or diamonds?

Don't get too distracted by the CPC, concentrate instead on getting traffic. I assume that you're writing a fashion blog because you're interested in the topic. Because of your interest, your posts are more likely to be interesting to others and therefore more widely read.

Just start it and see what happens. You never really know what's going to work. You should look into affiliate marketing, not just Adsense.
