Adsense for Content rates

Ok, I am relatively new to actually being slightly serious about Adsense. I know it's against TOS to discuss all of your CTR and CPM rates etc publicly, so I thought I'd get a bit more input from people who have been at Adsense for a while.

An example would be, for a site with a gardening niche, how much would you expect to make with 1000 page impressions?

Can anyone simplify it a bit for me?

    Cheers

you really need to try it out to get a good idea of what potential your site has.

If you think your site has the potential to make a lot of money, then by all means do it. It's all about you, and what you know you can do.

Well, let's see, if you get 1000 impressions and your CTR is a good 5% and the ads pay, let's say, $0.10 average. Then that's 1000 x .05 x .10 = $5.00 a day. Of course, more visitors, more impressions, a better CTR, and higher paying ads will result in more money. My guess is that the gardening niche will not have very high paying keywords. However, with enough traffic and a high CTR, you could still make decent money.

Great, thanks for all your suggestions. I know I can get the traffic in the door - slowly, but still, I can do it on my own. Or maybe I'll come up with an idea to get DP members to help me:eek:

I have gotten my site from 300 daily uniques to 600 daily uniques, overall hits have doubled. Hmm, whether or not that's good, I don't know, but sales have definitely gone up since I redesigned the site.

Another thing regarding adsense, what is 'DP Revenue Sharing' - I've seen a few comments about it but not sure what it is or how to sign up?

    Thanks
