About the only ads I get seem to be "Adsense for URL" as I have recently placed ads on my occult forum and I am getting nothing but "corpus christi" ads. My site was hosted in Atlanta, and is now in St. Luis. I am in Tennessee... no one on my forums that I know of is in Corpus Christi, There are no threads about it, and no mention of it anyplace on the site that I know of... yet nearly all of the ads are about it. I used to have another page where the URL of the site had "armchair" on it, and While I was talking about SEO and other Web related topics, all I got were ads for lawn furniture. Yeah, yeah, I could use that targeting code, but should I have too? The ads I put up are after all set up for CONTENT, if I wanted keyword ads I'd have gone with an affiliate program. Either way, currently, the find folks using Adwords are wasting their money with ads on my site, and I am not earning anything due to no one reading my site caring two bits about the 'content' driven ads. *shrug* Are these going to clear up in time and actually start giving me the low paying ads I deserve, or should I just go back to my older affiliate ads that focus on the OCCULT in my url, rather then the CORPUS? (the site is www.occultcorpus.com)
the word corpus in your url is what is doing it.... all I can think of is to block the ads or..uhh, maybe contacting adsense??
Heh, ya thinking contacting the people placing the ads may have a larger impact I'm mainly just ranting. Though I would like to know if adsense bots will crawl through and realize the only connection between my sit & Texas is the name "corpus" and stop showing the ads. If not, then there is nothing "content" about the entire adnetwork and and advertisers would likely wish to know they are wasting money on impressions to a site completely and totally unrelated to their cause.
lol, probably. Personally, I'd just be glad that Google didn't ban me for thinking it was a necrophilia fetish site or something LO
Now that would be funny... Though, now I just need some occult blood test ads to match the tourism ones, then everything will work out fine in the end Any clue if there is a way to make the ads do public service announcements till things resolve to their proper order? I'd rather see hurricane relief ads then ring tones for a town that is miles from any member on my forum.
