Does anyone know how to effectively use adsense filters? I read somewhere that you can use them to define the value of the ads that are displayed on your adsense for content. Could anyone shed some light on this, or if it is even possible.

The Competition Filter" in your settings can be used to block out whatever websites you do not want advertised. Visit the sites that are advertised on your site - BUT do not click the ads, you can usually see what the url is, just type it into another browser. Is it a crappy site? You can add it to the blocked list. You can usually tell the cheap MFA type sites when you see them.

You should also be using channels so you can see where you are getting clicks and what each area or page is earning

You are talking about the competitive ad filter right?

I have added 40+ sites in my competitive ad filter list. When ever I see a ad that is not related to my site's Niche, or that if it is less related to the content, then I filter it.
