    Hello everyone,

We buy couple websites a month it appears that the page ECPM is extremely low when compared to the sellers stats. I have verified the Google adsense so I’m million percent sure the sellers were honest.

One of the sites that I bought recently on 4/25 – our click thru is around 50% with a ECPM of $70 – but when the old owner had it his average page ecpm was $120 – as you can see this is a huge decline in our earnings and I would like to know why…Lot of people told me that this happens when the PUB id is changed and it takes a while to build its self up again… I tried searching but didn’t find much out there.

Any one has anything that Google may have published that I can shed some light in this situation will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Art

50$ CTR and $70 eCPM? I'd love to see a site like that! Also, understand that sellers also tend to over state their numbers... I Can't imagine that earnings would be significantly lower when you purchased it, and when the buyer ran it. Changing the PUB ID shouldn't affect earnings that much IMHO.
