I have recently setup up a new look for my site and now my earnings are fallen badly. My CPM has fallen from 1.2$ to 0.5$. My CTR is still the same. I am getting more then 500 clicks and earnings are 3$ or 4$. Please help me.
yes i already faced same problem in the past for some days but after few days i gets approximately same CTR and e-CPM ratio.
Site URL is- http://isongz.com/ It is not about placement and CTR as CTR is approx. same, no of clicks is same. The problem is that the earnings per click have fallen. Like earlier I used to get 1000 clicks daily and 12-15$ earnings. Now I am getting 900-1000 clicks daily and 5$ earnings. So please help me guys...
Nope. No recent changes to content. Everything is exactly same except the theme. That is why I am confused what is happening.
Any help guys. Earnings are still same... not increasing or getting back to normal. Is there a recent decrease from Adsense??
i dont think that changing adsense theme, while content are still the same will cause any earning trouble
i made change to my layout once, and i experience decrease in CTR and earning too, then i change back to previous theme(which my friends said look boring) and the ecpm and ctr back to normal. just sharing my experience,
The first thing I would look into is Section Targeting. New themes usually mean different placements and different placements mean different content contexts and different contexts mean different advertisers.
Section targeting is not the problem because I am getting same ads as before. There must be some other reason which I cant figure out.
Are you sure everyone is getting the same ads as before ? It's possible that many of your visitors have opted not to participate in Googles behavior targeted ads, which would allow section targeting to make a difference, while you yourself may still be getting behavior targeted ads if you haven't opted out. -- The only other thing I can think of, is perhaps resetting your theme has also reset some sort of trust timer for your site at Google. It would make sense that the longer a site has used a similar HTML structure without any record of click fraud or questionable ad placements, the less likely it will be that any of that stuff will happen, thus making it safer to display ads for their higher paying Adwords clients on the site. Of course, that's just all speculation, I've never actually heard of that being the case.
I have set up revenue sharing so that earnings are in mine and my fathers account. Now, inmy account Pay Per Click is still the less one but in my father account it is better.
