Recently i noted that in my account, eCPM has gone down drastically(below $1.00). I think it is because a surge in the traffic. My traffic increased ten times over last month and ecpm has gone down 10 times(equal and opposite), though the click through rate is same. Because of this i get only few cents per click. I just wanted to ask whether a rise in traffic(significant) will get an eCPM punishment from google or will it improve.
No, traffic wouldnt affect the eCPM. The eCPM is depend on the CTR and CPC. Formula as below eCPM = 1000 X CTR X CPC
$1 is my CPM, and you have $10CPM before? How come? Higher CTR, and CPC? But can we change both? My CTR is ~.5%
