I keep a log of some of my adsense channels to track earnings in excel. I update it about once a week, and simply type in the new total earnings for a particular channel. This week, I noticed one of the channels was actually $3 less than it was last week. Meaning, the "All Time" total for this channel was $233 last week, and now the "All Time" total for this channel is $230. What is going on??? I never even visit that site. I checked for the week. and it seemed the site made $10... Update: I am getting this for multiple channels, not just one, so that pretty much rules out typos. I went ahead and posted a question on the adsense help forum: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdSense/thread?tid=121168c03a07811a&hl=en (This is for anyone in the future who has the problem and finds this thread.)
When adsense found invalid click, they have right to pull back the money and return back to advertiser. I think the $3 is due to invalid click
I think we all publishers concentrate too much about google adsense that is why invalid clicks are often noticed.
I agree with pluto. im obsessed with my stat counter and my google adsense.. like to where i need to stay away from my computer. I will refresh my stat page every 10 mins to see if i get hits then reload adsense BLEH! but ya to answer your question invalid clicks were caught by the big G
