I seem to notice adsense fluctuating widely recently, from a similar amount of pageviews earnings have been really shitty and really good. Anyone else noticed this?

I don't think there is anyone out there that has the same exact amount everyday. It fluctuates a lot day by day depending on many factors.
It depends on the volume and nature of traffic and nobody knows for sure when people will click your ads and what type of ads are clicked. That dictates the quantum of $$$ earned
Googlefrog: let me ask you a question? dont you think that since Google does'nt have a contract or promises publishers a set percentage of the click amt. charged the advertiser, don't you think that on certain times of the year they may share less with the publishers just to make their numbers? in other words if Google CEO says we need to show a profit of 800 million this month and it looks like they aren't gonna make those numbers, that they definitely will make those numbers and guess where the money is coming from? instead of paying you .50 for a mortgage click yesterday you are now gonna get .10 for the same clicked add today. do you honestly think the perctage paid to publishers stays the same every month? believe that, then i have a bridge i wanna sell you.
I think you are right that they are fluctuating . Last week i was earning $2 to $4 per day and from last few days i am getting few cents only .
I was earning above $ 10 and nowadays its less than $5. almost reduced to half I think Google have changed their algorithm so that the publishers get less amount and advertiser gets the maximum amount.
I agree with what's been said. I'm definitely getting less per click then last month. It seems to me that every time Google has a Saturday maintenence my CPC goes down from there.
I notice relevance of ads is worse on text ads. Like I have some game portals, and the two ads are for fat loss, the variability is too high for it to be a chance. It always used to be very on topic, now it seems to be up and down?
Google never pay as good as we assured, its my thinking. And I think we must be paid for impressions, becouse advertising means visibility, we see ads on TV, listen on Radio, watch in Newspaper there is no per pay click system, so we must be paid, when people ads on our websites. my fluctuation are huge. i get a steady stream of impressions and unique hits but my earnings are all over the chart. i can get a couple quarters one day then up to several dollars another. i've gotten used to it.
In the past few days I've seen my earnings drop down to 10-15 cents a day.. and I've only been getting 2-3 clicks on average, whereas before I would get 10+ clicks a day and ~$2 from it.. I'm getting ads that don't interest my readers and that pay bad.. it sucks..
