Adsense earnings drop in 2007?

I noticed my earnings per click drop in the Xmas holidays, and learned from DP that it was normal. But now the holidays is over, my earnings per click is still very low. Does this mean it will keep a low level for the year 2007?
Somebody else ever noticed this too?

Well, the year started just now, so many days left in this year, not to predict so early, keep watching the changes and try different things..

i believe is more a "niche" thing: some niches stay good or have more CTR, others get down... But it's quite early to do predictions, isnt' it? good luck to all!

Mine have dropped hard since 2 weeks before Christmas. I'm not too happy about this obviously.

My eCPC has dropped to almost half which means my earnings have dropped by half and it seems like that's where it is staying. Maybe it was because the images was removed?

Still its too early to predict, but making a bit comparison to last year, so for the 8-9 days goes very well...

At the end of every years, many dept's (advertising included) will burn off excess dept. funding in order to ensure they don't get budget cuts in their respective depts the following year(s).

Most accounting dept's will hatchet dept expenditures if they don't spend their allowance each year by years end... hence why you may see a rise in Q4 and then a drop in Q1 each year in your earnings.

I got higher earning at first week, second week is really bad but I blame it on my experiments with layout, color, keywords. Same clicks, less income :D

sz2006, how are your traffic stats? Are they at the same level as before?

It has nothing to do with traffic. What I mean is the earnings per click. Generally one click means $0.4~0.8 for me. But this two weeks in Y2007, one click only counts for $0.1~0.2.

Maybe as MrMOJO said, it's normal to see earnings per click in Q1 drop?

For me, traffic is up, clicks are about the same, but click values are down about 30%...
