hi all, its 1st of August and its that time of month again -- to look back on last month performance (again). so tell me how was your last month? How much you all made in the month of July and in June and how much you expect in the month of august. Also share with us any special reason for sudden increase/descrease in earning. This is mine: July - $31 June - $35 I expect atleast $50 in august Though my earning is less this month compared to last month but I am happy because I hardly spent any time working on my blogs this month. Now you tell us
July - $194 June - $55 For the first time ever, we put time into our websites that use adsense as advertising and jumped that much. I hope to do $200+ in August and get to $40 per day by the end of the year. Probably not possible, but you need to set goals. We really don't use Adsense as revenue, but it almost paid the hosting bills this month.
@ChildeRoland. congrats for making enough money to pay for hosting there was small doubt, tell me, did you put adsense ads recently on a established site or ads were already there and you started optimising/updating site now.
jack smith. We had several sites that have been displaying adsense for around a year now. When we incorporated it a year ago, we primarily did around $50 - $80 per month. Most of that was through our resource pages where we did a bunch of link trading so we're guessing it was the link partners that were clicking through the ads. Last month, I had some free time on my hands so I spent around 2-3 weeks solid going in and researching better ways to implement adsense on the sites to try and actually using it as a primary means of generating revenue through some of our directory sites. It's worked great and I fully expect that within the next year, we'll likely get to the $50 - $100 per day category. That's still minor in the grand scheme of things as there are publishers that do $1,000 per day, but we're trying and at some point hope to figure out the adsense dance. Our main thing is that we don't want to create crap sites. Some of the sites we use adsense on now appear to be MFA sites, but in reality they're just young sites that aren't finished being developed yet. For instance, we operate a Laser Hair Removal Directory (only 2 months old) as well as a real estate and carpet cleaners directory. All of them are less than a year old and were launched, but haven't been worked on that much yet. Within the next few months once our busy season dies down, we plaon on populating each site with actual listings and plan to set it up like a yellow pages for each industry. We'll then begin selling actual adspace on the sites to help generate more revenue.
@ChildeRoland, thanks for sharing that info with DP. Its little off-topic but since you are into directories can you tell me one thing. Say you have a new site on hair removal at www. tips2removehair .com and now you want to start a directory on same topic, what would u suggest, should one go with a subdomain like directory. tips2removehair .com (because it would be updated more regularly cos' of site) or a new site like www. tips2removehairDir .com because of some other reasons. Third option is something like www. tips2removehair .com\directory (which i think is not very good)
June 18,647.00 July 15,832.00 I saw a slight drop in my niches for July. Luckily YPN held strong for me.
April $44 May $71 June $169 July $273 I moving up hopefully i can hit 1000 in a month by end of the year... Gotta keep reading Threads and i'll be good to go
may 300 june 260 july 105 now. ***sobbing*** next month 50???? next month 25??? next month same amount you expected? 50
Since your making almost all your money with 1 or 2 sites, aren't the other ones eating away at your profits made from the few that are actually making money through cost of maintenance i.e. domain costs, hosting, marketing, etc?
June: $156 July: $200 August: Possibly around $250? Ouch, what do you think is casuing such a big decline
