Hi, I used to make $100 per week with adsense but currently i don't understand what is going on.........wit the same traffic.......am making about $30.what could be the problem?
I largely think that it's just companies spending less on advertising; a drop from $100/month to a third of that is a huge drop though. I've heard of people losing about 1/3 of their adsense income as the economy took a dump on us but haven't heard about losing 2/3rds Any chance you have a lot of repeat visitors? Sometimes people can get used to the same ads being in the same spots and then they really tune them out. You may want to switch up an ad placement or two and see if it helps at all. It obviously won't make up for the huge difference you've experienced but it could help a bit.
That may be due to the keywords. If the keywords of your adds in your site are high paying keywords, then you will get huge amount. Otherwise you will obviously loss some amount with the same traffic.
Adsense earning can go down as eCPM can change anytime. I have personally seen some 50% less earning from the start of this year. I guess the only way to increase our earnings is to increase the traffic.
Anybody who is paying any attention at all to what is going on in the economy wouldn't expect to be earning more given the same parameters. My earnings are stable, you are earning less, and others are earning more. The trend is based on the economy and who has money to advertise and who has money to spend. There is nothing "Wrong"... it's just the way things are.
i was down earlier on, than I skyrocketed up, now I'm back down..it's a rollercoaster ride - but man it was fun while you're at the top.
I hope I am not being smart priced. But I am getting that now too. My earnings are getting a bit lower thatn they used to. JulieV
