i have 4 sites all of which are working normally the problem is when i see the stats page of adsense, all i see is top channels, i mean just five top channels, and the total earnings as well as page impressions which adsense shows is just from those five channels only, ( earnings tally completely with stats given) then how about other adsense channels ( i also have sites which don't have a channel name for them, but they work in my publisher id) i also have a stats counter on one of them which tells me that the site was opened 200 times, but when i see it in adsense reports, it does not show any effect on earnings/pageimpressions? so does that mean that of the sites which are not included in channels are NOT earning me any revenue? because if they are , they dont' seem to make any difference on the revenue i hope you understand what i am trying to ask.
If you are to sum up the impressions of the channels, does the result match the number of total impressions shown by Google? If not, there's the difference - because I really doubt that not setting a channel might mean you're not getting money - I remember that back in the days when I first started with google, I did not set any channel and still got income...
You are getting paid without channels, I have tested this time and time again. If i put dummy ads on a clients website i never use channels and the impressions and clicks always count. Simply total up your impressions from the channels and subtract this from your total.
i did, and that's the problem, for ex : if i sum up the pageimpressions, for which i have channels enabled, total of channels is always equal to the total page impressions, today i set up channel id for digitalpoint, and it's now showing page impressions from this site also, which was not being counted before, ( it might have been but it's atleast NOT showing it in my reports) any ideas?
It doesn't matter to setup your channel as adsense income will never get effected in absence of setting up channel You just keep it to see the page impressions differently in case of multiple sites.
Well, that's a strange thing you're encountering competent123, if indeed it's true. Maybe it's just a bug, maybe Google has gone completely mad But in order to be sure, why not set up a "general" channel or something and put all the ads there? Better to be safe, right?
@ genicon, that's the point, i could do that IF i had one or two site, and i want just to run on it, i make a new one every 2-3 days, on blogspot, and template is heavily modified, ( seo super optimised) so putting new ad channed codes in ti too much trouble for me 2. on a side note, i say somethign about url channels, does that mean i can just put in a url and any and all the ads on that specific url would be counted? 3. a question - if i put in adsense ad on a page 3 times, is that page load counted as one ecpm or as 3 ecpm.?
