Well today I've received a reply to my second message, they only said, translated from french:
"We have reviewed your site and we can confirm that is NOW compliant with our policies. We have re-enabled the ads, they should appear on your site within 48h."

So, they don't tell me why it was disabled in the first place. And the thing is I haven't changed ANYTHING on this site yet, I didn't even started to remove the adsense code.

So it can't possibly be compliant now and not before. And even if for some unknown reason it is the case, then it doesn't explain why I never receive a notification.

So, although I was reluctant, I emailed them again asking for details about what happened. I wrote to them that the site hasn't changed a bit since the disabling of the ads.

I was reluctant because it's possible they could re-disable the ads knowing that nothing has changed.. But then I thought if I don't try to get the details of this event, then they can disable again at anytime for the same (unknown) reason, so it's better we sort it out now once and for all.

But I don't know if they'll reply this time. Their email was very much a copy & paste email which they send in case of successful appeal to a disabling of ads, there was nothing specific about my message.

Oh well.. Now I have an half started new site on a new domain name, don't know what I'll do with it, if I finish it so I'll have two sites instead of one, but then double moderation work too.. And some duplicate content, but that is a problem for google search, not google adsense..

Google is the most arrogant company in the world.

Solution is following: Simply buy Guaranteed Adsense account and earn as much as you can. Search for Guaranteed Adsense ... on google :)

    OK where do I sign?
Oh, I forgot, I still have my adsense account.. Well I'll keep Guaranteed Adsense in mind for later.. might come sooner than expected as I have read quite a few account banning stories from long time publishers recently.. My turn is coming soon I guess.

The ads came back today. Maybe they'll reply to let me know exactly what happened. In the process I've modified the site now and have moved the ads around, so now yes it has changed, but between the disabling of ads and the re-enabling, no.

They replied again (I'm impressed) and this time gave me a specific explanation of what happened.
One publisher got his whole account banned and in the process they disabled ads on my site because he was a member and so had his adsense id on it. I don't know what he did and if he did it on my site, I don't know how many of "his" sites they disabled ads on.
But what is good is that I know now that the issue wasn't because of something I had done or not done (like not moderating some content quickly enough)
