Adsense CTR

I have a website I've been running adsense on for a little over 2 months now. I'm earning a decent amount, however I feel I could earn more. I've narrowed it Down to my CTR. It's pretty low. My ads are placed alot like DP, one in line in the topic, and one at the bottom of the page. They look like part of the site design, so they stand out, but not like an in your face ad. Anyone have any suggestions on how to increase CTR?

    site url: www.cincinnatistreetracing.com
    visits/day: approx 2500
    pages/day: approx 45K -50K

source of traffic is natural, not much se traffic. most of the traffic is repeat on a daily basis. new traffic comes from other boards, and WOM. Adsense has about 30K impressions per day, and my CTR is very low compared to that.

when i read yoiur URL, i read it as Cincinatti's Tree Tracing. I was so intrigued...why would anyone trace a tree?? :D :D

from what i think, your ads are quite well palced, but i heard that in forums, rotating contrasting colors tend to work better.

i've read through that. about the only thing in there i can do, but wont, is add a skyscrpaer. i think that would throw off the balance of the forum.
