I have been trying different ad types and placement for my adsense this month, although it has gone up from average 1.30% CTR last month to 5.0% CTR this month does anyone get alot more than 5% CTR monthly on there sites as i have never had more than this average monthly
It addition to your ad placement, it depends on your niche, how targeted your traffic, and the actual ads running. I have a site that consistently has a CTR above 25% and using the same template for a similar keyword, the CTR is around 10%. The difference? The traffic from keywords is different - i.e. if you have a camera site, ranking for "how to take pictures" is convert less than ranking for "Buying a camera".
i had as much as 35% CTR form one site that i was running before. if you have good ad placement, you can easily get 8% - 10% CTR. for blogs however, CTR is often lower than sites unless you have a custom theme making it look like a site and you add the adsense code within the content. typical sidebar ad on the blog will not generate any more than 4% - 6% CTR on average
I usually get more and there are people that get a LOT more... No problem with that, as long as you are legit...
Similar situation. This looks like the month where I will be breaking the 5% CTR on one site where I have made changes. All I did was choose the large text option for Adsense units. I also find that an ad unit immediately below the article title increased CTR. And I got rid of the link units. Wasted clicks. So let's see if this holds out over the long term.
Woah! That's a great CTR you got there. I'm generally in the gray area of anywhere between 0-4 which now, doesn't look all too good. Any tips?
i think your keywords play a major rule in the CTR and your website outlook still its a very good CTR
5% consider as good CTR and i believed you are doing a great job Wish your earning will be better and better
Hmm...I've been wondering about the effectiveness of link units. Like even in the case of imedia123. I can't somehow see any use of link units. Anybody, care to weigh in?
i know ctr is click through Rate .But how it works i dont know .i was just going to ask this question some time CTR in our adsence account shows 1.45% and one click and money 1.50£ .But some time show 15% & 0.10 . how it works.Try to understand this ctr on google help pages But still needed More info .Experts please explain .Does it counts this way that how much user have seen that advert and then click through it or Does it show about time they spend on landing page.
Typically my CTR runs about 22%. The biggest factor is as someone above mentioned, the keywords you choose. Blog layout also has a lot to do with it but if you can catch someone in the buying mindset you are much more likely to get that click. Of course, you could always link to the product direct and make an affiliate commission too
That's a very, very good CTR. Mind sharing the link to your blog. That number has me very impressed. Cheers for it mate!
