Quick question. I belive we can't talk about our specific AdSense CTR, but does anyone know a rough estimate for what is an industry average, or a good CTR to aim for? Obviously not based on any data that would violate an AdSense TOS...

Depends greatly on the type of site. Aim for the best that you can legitimately achieve and don't worry about what everyone else gets...because it varies way too much.

This month it has been as high as 10% and as low as 2% based upon the kind of marketing I do. Those are daily numbers as I keep a spreadsheet of all my activity.

With CJ, it's been as low as 2.4% and as high as 25.3% on a daily basis. Again, it depends on how I am marketing that day.

It depends. If you have a web site and simply throw up Adsense on your pages, you can't expect much more than about 1%-2%. If you work to make sure your ads are relevant to the interests of your visitors, you can increase your CTR to 5%-10%. If you tune your content so as to leave your visitors hungry for additional information about your topic, you can get a consistent 15%-30%.

CTR of 5% considered good rate at this recession time.
