Sorry my 2nd question of the day and thanks for your patience on this one

I'm never sure if you are allowed to discuss Adsense CTR figures so i will just give close estimates

I run 5 web sites on topics that i have a good knowledge on for the sake of the example i'll use 2 sites...

SITE A gets a couple of thousand visitors a day, but they are regular fans of the site - so the adsense click thru is very poor say 0.5%CTR

SITE B gets a few hundred visitors a day all unique and adsense is very good say 2.5%CTR

I've tried split testing both sites and even changed the layouts - I've studied heat maps and my conclusion is clearly SITE A will always have around 0.5%CTR

So overall my CTR for my adsense account is 1.5%CTR TOTAL

I've read about smart pricing in the past but never been sure of whether its true - if it is Then should i remove SITE A from Adsense?

Any suggestions as to what i should do for the sake of SITE B?

    Thanks in advance
    Zane

It is natural. Total 1.5% CTR isn't bad.
U can study with the colors of the text. Some colors always attract peoples.
U also should research the keywords & should target for a high paying keyword.

Thanks Hasmat - This ive already done
it was around 0.2CTR and i've managed 0.5%CTR on SITE A
Split testing has proven that this site is almost at its max CTR - with regular visitors in a niche market its a site that will always be low ctr

    So my questions remain ...

    Does Smartpricing exist on adsense?
Should i ditch the adsense on Site A to get my overall CTR to above 2%

    Am i missing something

Sinde Domain A has a Lot of regular visitors, There is a Propability for Adblindness!! So , there is a comfortable way to deal with this if you are in wordpress or any CMS.

Make Copies of the the template you are using iinto 5 Folders like folder1, folder2 so and so.
And make different adplacements on each.
    Everyday, Rotate between the template.

This is a simple trick to avoid Adblindness!!

    Addition

And to Make your CTR above 2%, Remove an Adblock in which you get the least click on Site A and Doing the same on Site B will do even Better!!

    Hi Extremephp

Your are spot on about the ad blindness - i'm aware of this and hadn't considered rotating templates - i use Wordpress, so is this a special plugin or a manual change each day?

Unfortunately i'm down to very basic adblocks - 1 or 2 a page and its still this low
Ive considered going to 1 ad and using amazon - as my web site is entertainment, but even this isn't any where near the 4 or 5 dollars made on the low CTR a day

I guess the question is will loosing the Site A income of 4 or 5 dollars a day made on the low 0.5 CTR and replacing it with $1 amazon or Chitika adverts outweigh
the advantage of Site B going up to 2.5%CTR and thereby getting higher paying ads per click?
