My CTR shot up to 12% and has not gone down since. Its all about content.
I started doing my own articles. Then i place an adwords ad relative to that specific article. And then I add AdSense to the page that has the article. This way, i have relevant ads on the page.

This way, I'm getting traffic interested in the subject I've written about in the article. And the article triggers the right keywords to trigger the right ads from adsense on the page. So if they're not interested in my article, they clikc on the ads.

I might add that this was all learned by reading threads on this forum - thank you all.

adsense gives you ctr for both the page and the individual number of ad blocks on the page, but ypn doesn't... it only gives you ctr per ad block, so it would be difficult to fully compare the two programs, if you were ignoring the ctr per ad block with adsense.

the other reason to be concerned with the ctr per ad block with adsense is because it will affect your overall earnings... it is not a good thing to have an ad block on a page that never gets clicked.

one reason that you should be concerned with ctr from the very beginning is because it's a lot easier to fix a problem on a couple of pages, than it is to fix the problem on dozens of pages... so if you have an ad block that's not getting clicked on, you need to know about it now, before the page code gets spread thruout the site.

wrt ctr... it is possible to have a couple of pages that make more money together than all the rest of the the other pages on your site, in part because the ctr is so much higher on those two pages... but the page design is something that you can't do for all the other pages on your site.

ctr is the only data that google gives us that we can improve on... you need to know it inside and out, for every page on your website.
