Adsense - CPM or per click?

    Hey all,

Just wondering about Adsense... If I used it, would I get paid based on the number of other people who log onto my site and merely see the ad, or the number of people who log on and actually click the add?

    Thanks!

it depends upon your selection, if you select text only ads then you will get paid only if some one clicks your ad.

But if you choose text and Image ads then you will get paid for 1000 impression of image ads, there is no need to click ads on your site.

    Hope I helped

Google will randomly select whether your site will be shown a Pay Per Impression ads or Pay-Per-Click Ads.

Mostly it will be PPC (pay per click). If the adwords advertisers are happy with their ROI from your site, then click rate will skyrocket because of high demand and low supply-limited ad space in your site. Also for high ROI site, Google may decide to show CPM banners. All banners are not CPM banners. If your site is on top of the food chain (like MySpace) Google will beg you to show their ads and and you can dictate a set price per month, quarter or year. If you open a blog site and stuff it with contents from article directories, you may get a few pennies per click

You get CPM which is eCPM after a thousand pageviews, which is impression and it rounds it.

I guess most of the text ads are ppc and most of the image ads will pay per impression.

That's true. CPM is only pay for banner ads, not text ads :)
