Hello, My AdSense CPC have dropped drastically this month... I used to average $0.40 to $0.50 earlier... but this month its just $0.10 to $0.15. Its only for me or for you as well? - Minterest
Oh that sucks.. Any specific reason? Mine is competitive niche... (internet marketing) so there is no reason to justify this $0.10 CPC... infact I used to get many $1+ clicks earlier...
I think you should not worry about it too much, as the cpc will grow back, don't worry, maybe it is seasonal, if you have been doing it for years you can check last year at this period and see if there is indeed a seasonal factor.
Mine have been around 0,03$ for almost a year so i don't see much changes but i heard the CPC is dropping overall from other people i know.
It really depends on your niche.. and competition... a NICHE which have a lot of advertiser competition performs 10x better than a non-competitive niche. E.g. An Internet Marketing Blog vs. A Recipe Blog
Same here. But don't worry, i experienced something like that in the past and i know it will go up again.
Oh man I feel quite relieved to be reading this from everyone. I've been agonizingly watching my earnings drop as my cpc has gone from .40 - .50 on average to .10 on average! Praying for a rebound...
If you are being smart priced by Google, it will effect all of the sites in your account. Some Adsense publishers segregate their sites. So the better performing sites aren't effected by the low converting sites. Try to find out where the ad/position is converting the best on your page and then remove all other adblocks but one located at the best converting position on your site. You should see your CPC rise as only the higher paying ads will show up there. As your overall CTR goes up and earnings are better, your smartpricing effect should reduce.
Its still the same... for this month as well... avg. CPC is just $0.15. Its much better to remove ads now... at least it will improve user experience.
You have a point there.. I think I have read about that long time back.. And it seems like thats the issue... Got few articles about how to recover... Thanks for that!
I can see that the drop in CPC may came due to different factors, the most of them would be the impact of growth of cheaper mobile and tablet search advertising. however, i don't think that this factor should decrease CPC by 200% so i expect other factors like Type of current advertisers/Type of your website visitors. Hope this helps. Regards, Moustafa
Write articles using High CPC keywords. Sometimes it dropped without any cause. I experienced this in many times. Dont worry much. Everything will be Ok.
Guys... CPCs back to normal now... Its up 200%. Not sure what's happening or happened... I tweaked the AdSense categories... some weeks back... not sure if that is the reason...
