i got a mail just now from adsense team telling about adsense referral , Google Pack referral , Firefox ( reduction ) some what they are making cost cutting service it seems felling unlucky share your thoughts chandan
that's called global economic recession - starting where it was created first - in USA ... I have removed all referrals from G adsense and any other referrals. I also have removed all CPA I personally think CPA makes it far too easy for the advertiser - it leaves all burden of success on the publisher and zero financial burden on advertiser, hence an advertiser with poor quality products or a boring / unpleasant landing page or difficult ordering/payment procedures still makes his money at zero cost and zero responsibility to create success, while in reality the publisher only can accept responsibility for the quality and presentation of his content and the ad placements / ad optimization as well as getting traffic - and the success of CPC ads depends on the appeal of products, efficiency and ease to use of landing pages/payment procedures and useful ness of products/services. hence I have removed ALL CPA / referrals days ago. if Google needs cash then they have money to advertise and since G adsense uses advertising platforms that contain stolen content - G has easy ( dirty ) money enough to pay for advertisements ! if i really LOVE a product based on my own successful and repeated use - then I refer to it for free since years or post a blog article at zero cost. I only refer products, services or sites that i know personally and have used satisfactory during the course of years.
Are you sure? Adsense seemed to be raking in tons of money and Google's profit is nothing short of awesome.
they have restricted adsense referral now google pack is 1$ firfox is not allowed in china alll those things means what ? cost cutting only right ? see the following (mail ) i attached the file in first post it self but no one read it seems Hello AdSense publisher, We are writing to give you an important follow-up to the changes we announced earlier this month to the referrals to AdSense program. Since announcing the changes, we've received a number of responses about the program being dependent on the location of the referring publisher rather than the referred user. After carefully considering this feedback, we have decided to modify our planned changes. Specifically, you will have the option to add a referral unit for AdSense within your account when you target any referral unit to Japan and/or any countries in North America and Latin America. To ensure payment for valid conversions, we recommend that you check the targeting settings on your current AdSense referral units. We'd also like to let you know about upcoming changes to the referrals programs for Google Pack and Firefox: Google Pack: Currently, you can earn up to $2 when a user downloads and runs Google Pack for the first time after being referred through your link or button. Starting the third week of February, each successful Pack referral will earn up to $1. This change will apply to all referrals for Google Pack and is independent of user location or publisher location. Firefox: We will also be reducing payments for Firefox referrals from China during the third week of February. This specific referral payment change will only affect installations from users in China. As with referrals to AdSense, this is independent of your location as a publisher. We understand that these changes may decrease revenue for some of you currently participating in these referrals programs. While it is our goal to help publishers earn as much as possible with the AdSense program, like any other referrals advertiser, we are constantly evaluating our campaigns to make them effective and sustainable. Again, thank you for your feedback and support of the referrals program. Sincerely, The Google AdSense Team
no they are just making targetted US market it seems like other ad programs (where us traffic will be paid rather than international ) it is just business tricks
Interesting, As a stock holder, and an adsense and adwords user, I am glad I dumped most of my shares in Google seeing how my revenues have been on a steep decline over previous year, a sure sign of things to come. With the same declines being posted all over the net on blogs about PPC, it seems obvious that the economic issues impacting the U.S. are hitting Google too. Internet giant Google Inc.'s revenue and profits fell short of Wall Street expectations in the fourth quarter, amid slower growth in consumer clicks on its advertisements and higher fees paid to partners. Shares in the Mountain View, Calif., company fell about 7% in after-hours trading after it reported fourth-quarter profit rose 17%, compared with 46% profit growth in the third quarter. Revenue rose 51% from a year earlier to $4.83 billion. Investors have been anxious that a consumer slowdown could affect online advertising. Slowing growth in the number of times consumers clicked on Google's ads, which appear alongside its Web ... Just goes to show us all, no one makes big profits forever. Good luck to all,
Only high volume sites make any decent money with adsense, small publishers can't expect to rake in the money anymore. This was changed a couple of years ago. If you're a small publisher plan on $100 a month and if you've got a popular site, maybe $500-$1,000 and that's with a lot of traffic. Anyone trying to live off adsense these days is fooling himself/herself. The trick with adsense is to have a very popular site.
