I haven't changed anything in the placement of adsense units but recently I am seeing the conversion (the percentage of clicks) is going down and I am unable to understand.

Can anyone see any reason for this please?

I doub't many people are looking at exercise while they're gorging themselves on food.

but all kidding aside, I imagine you'll see more after all the holidays and such are over.

In fact, my main cause of worry is the percentage factor that has gone down. Traffic and uniques aren't the issues right now for me.

It's hard to find out the real reason. Have you track the ranking position for different keywords? Usually some keyword position can increase while others can go down but in the end it still brings in the same amount of traffic. But the thing is that the increase will actually lead to landing page that has lower ctr while the decrease on some keyword ranking is actually for certain landing page which has high conversion. I hope it doesn't confuse you.
It's just one of the reasons I can think of.

I think this is it in my case. While it is alright for one KW it has gone down or up for others thus more or less holding the traffic thereabouts.

IMO, increase in traffic will surely help for getting better revenue. May be NewYear holidays have adversely affected your traffic and thus revenue ;) Just keep patience ....

Yes, I believe you can remove the word advertisement. If you have to mention that it is an advertisement, you can say "Sponsored Links" per Google.

I have no complaints with the traffic and the earning the now-low ctr is bringing. But as you all said, I hope it picks up after the holidays.

I have a CTR of a little less than 1% now. Isn't it way too low across the board?
