Adsense Content Manipulation Question

I'm using the following tags to cause google to skip over certain areas of my web pages when trying to determine what ads to display on a page. I'm using the following code to make google ignore my page header that contains the websites main navigation:

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->
My content in here
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Is that the right way to do that and if not, can you provide me with the proper code?
