Greetings, Is it normal for 44 click to make only 1.65$? I always get too low $ for clicks. What would you suggest to do. Could I avoid eCPM ads ? Most of ads are texts and only one a big square graphic. Thanks
It's not unusual - that's 4 or 5 cents per click. Payment per click really depends on the niche of your site and source of traffic. Some niches pay much less than others and by the sound of it you've found one of those.
Thanks for the quck response. Is there any way to improve that and avoid them? I keep getting low $ for clicks all the time. I got over 7,000 ads impressions a day.
You can filter out the ads of low paying advertisers (check AdSense website for more info), but only if you know which ones those are. If you've got a gaming site or similar, which are notorious for low paying ads, there's not really much you can do.
Depends on time of day, where the visitor came from, what ad was showing, what the content is, etc. You know, since it is SO variable, Google should see that there would be no harm in revealing click stats, afterall it would probably just makes things more obfuscated for us trying to make sense of it...which Google would love In answer to your filtering question...no, it's not a bad idea. Try to determine which ads are being clicked on and see if you can get an idea of epc for them. If they are below a certain threshold (which you have to decide for yourself) then filter them. Someone (jackburton?) mentioned getting rid of ebay ads. I was a firm believer in that until some studies that I ran and now I leave them out of my filter. For others, though, it may be best to get rid of them, all depends upon your content.
don't feel bad - twice in the last few days on a throwaway site I have I gotten .01 for two clicks - now that's LOW
