It is open only for US participants at this time. Thats a wrong idea , because majority of Internet users are outside of the US. Americans are busy in colleges.

Google will surely face Competition if this Beta Product will be launched by Microsoft. At this point of time major Google revenue is coming from Search Engines on which they are charging Highest CPC. I am sure this will impact Google big way.

Also I am not sure what will be their policy with regards to showing ADS on the same page - Would it be allowed or not ???

Lots of questions are their Let's see how all of these questions are being answered tomorrow once the Beta Program is Officially launched.

This isn't news, this has been available for some time.

it's a good alternative to Adsense, much better than all the other crap 2nd and 3rd tier networks...but it still doesn't match Adsense,

from my loosely based analysis, it pays about 2/3 to 7/10 of Adsense
the problem is their advertiser base is very small, relative to Adwords.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. Up until today, pubCenter was a very limited, closed beta.. As of today they are vastly opening the beta to more testers and are actively seeking more testers.. It is now an OPEN beta - very different from how it was just one day ago.

It has been over 8 days for me since I applied.

Do they answer your "Interest Form" if you are rejected?
Or do they just ignore you?

I think they just ignore you.

There is currently no timeline available for when pubCenter will be open for non-US publishers.

For those applying, remember that they only accept "quality" sites and they probably have a much tighter definition of "quality" than Adsense does. Each application/website is individually reviewed by a human being to ensure quality. HOW do they define "quality"? even i don't know that..
