Can you guys help a newbie with a question that is puzzling. I started Adsense on Thursday night about 8pm (gmt) Delighted to see some activity overnight followed by a trickle throughout the day Friday. Saturday was deathly quiet but caught up overnight (after11pm gmt) and nothing again today, Sunday, Midday here. Are there trends for activity? eg day v night weekday v weekend USA online v GB online Or maybe Adsense is playing up? Of course, I'm like a mother hen with her chicks watching which sites do what and when and how and writing content in between. Great fun!
I think you just stumbled in at the wrong time. Very rarely, Adsense does major maintenance that delays reporting, and today (Sunday) seems to be one of those days. They WILL catch up, and your reports will likely change suddenly, but right now they do not seem to be reporting much at all. For example, they show 257 page impressions for my site right now. In reality, there have probably been close to 2,500, so they are way, way behind. Let it be, check tomorrow.
Me too and I can tell you Adsense has had me pulling my hair out with one day doing great and the next doing really bad which drives me nuts
Well, I'm sure it's very difficult when you have just signed up. Naturally you want to know what's going on (or "going up", we hope). Normally, Adsense reporting is accurate and reliable. Ordinarily you won't need patience at all.
I would allow about 1.5 - 2 hours for the delay in stats. Since when the stats reset ad midnight, they will be blank for about first hour and then over the next hour only post fraction of stats, and then play catchup from 2 hours behind the rest of the day
I am in EST time zone (-5 GMT) and for me it happens at 3 am, so for you it would be 11am. But I would think Google would have UK AdSense servers for which the reset time would be midnight UK time
It's 7:40 am here and Google is still showing today's figures as the 30th not the 31st. At the moment I'm not sure how much of that is time zone difference or whether it's not fully updated. I guess I will work it out in time.
