Forums are usually very low (around 0.1% or so, I believe) but if you get a niche site you can get CTRs up. My sites are between 1% and 5% (As they have varied content). There is another thread here where some guy is claiming to have a 35% CTR!! Crazy, eh?

Try Via-gra! hee hee :D sorry, I couldn't help it.

Seriously though, these are tips from Google themselves  about increasing CTR: https://www.google.com/support/adse...x=en:search&query=ad+placement&topic=0&type=f

This is a very good starting point. Follow this to the T and then, follow the 2nd step: Which is "Forget about CTR and focus on traffic". Working on CTR is all good, but there is only so much you can do with CTR as the TOS is quite restrictive in some ways. You want to get the ads merging with the page to get high CTR but not too much or you will be on the edge of violating the TOS. So instead, just work on getting more directory links, swap links with similar websites, try and advertise in newsletters, post (don't spam, post) in forums that are related to your niche etc.

    hee hee :D

1000 uniques per day? If yes, then that's not bad at all, depending on how long your site's been up. But, there's always scope for more .... Sky's the limit!

25%-33% Average Uniques per day is 750, but this site is highly targetted.

My normal average for content sites is 7-14%

Not that I want to break up the party, but AFAIK, posting your CTR is violating Googles TOS.
