I use firefox, and install a ads block add on. Now Ads dont show up for my site or any site that I want.
cool thanks, i've been getting more clicks recently, i dont want to lose my earnings, i've heard the stories of people losing $100's, i've got $100 in the last 24 hours!
You could check out adsenseclicklock.com, but it doesn't work on blogger blogs. Also, you'll need mod-rewrite (htaccess file access) for easiest implementation.
AsRep is Okay (it's the only one I use... and know anything about) It doesn't modify any of the AS code, but goes "around" it.
Just one question. I'm evaluating asRep and I would like to understand how fraud protection works. Suppose someone clicks 10 times and i setup asRep to allow only 3 from the same IP, the ad will automatically hides after 3 (using javascript) or only when the user reloads/change page?
How OpenX can avoid click fraud if that's a feature that doesn't exist: "So what you are specifically talking about - capping based on a previous click, currently doesn't exist and is a valid feature request." http://forum.openx.org/index.php?showtopic=503418553
The evaluation(free) version of AsRep does not have the click protection activated. Here is what I see in the admin panel of the "Click Fraud" option.
I thought you're using the full version. I'm evaluating Contextual Tracker as this is a free script that as click fraud protection, but I was looking for something mo advanced. If someone enters a page and click 50 times in the same ad, I think asRep neither CT will do. They will hide the ad "only" (I think) when the user load another page. I was looking for something with ajax and php to hide the ad when it reaches x clicks. Then if the user tries to reload the page, the ad will never came up with that IP.
asRep is very easy to install and use. It has a free version too. Keep in mind these scripts are not 100% correct.
I am using the full version, how else would I be able to copy and paste that text from the admin panel? lol. You would have to try AsRep for yourself and see if you like it or not.
The same way I do using the free version (lol): I know that asRep has some protection and in the free version you have email alert ... but, this is not protection. The full version has some options (that I don't know since I'm not using) that allow you to hide the ads. The problem is that the ads are hidden only after the user changes the page as I understand and not during.
