Well, OK then. It's hard to draw any conclusion from the posts here. The indication seems to be "random", which seems strange to me. Smaller earners getting the gift, and bigger earners not? Won't some big earners feel slighted, when they see lesser earners being favored? It doesn't bother me though - the monthly check is my gift. Still, one wonders about the gift's purpose. To inspire? To reward? To generate discussion? Who knows.
I believe it must be purely random for those that meet a minimum requirement. I've received gifts for the past two years but have not yet received one for this year even though my AdSense revenue for the year 2007 has topped $20k. I'd much rather have a credit card storage device than the crappy digital picture frame received last year.
That's an old one, the picture frames were for 2006. One that I know of right now on what Google gives for Christmas is the small USB Drive which fits in the wallet, just do a search here in DP, they're all over in pages 20-30 I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.
