Well, I knew that AdSense checks websites, but I don't know why. I always thought that they would check websites if the numbers on the report showed something fishy. I have been with AdSense for about 2 weeks now, and have seen about 5 visits from them (or some Albanian who lives in MountainView, California. Highly uncommon. HIGHLY, HIGHLY uncommon.) In Fact, The only visits I get from the west coast are from Arizona, and only one or two a day. The rest East Coast (30%), and the Europe (60-70%). I suspect of it being the Crawler, since the visit was "13 minutes 23 seconds", but my website isn't in Google SEO. (Been a long time. not even in google yet. No idea how to get in. My new websites got in without me doing anything) Anyone know if I'm in trouble, or it was a routine check/crawler?
It might have been the regular google-search bot.. or it might have been the Adsense Content bot.. or it might have been George, at the Googleplex working on Sunday to make sure your site is not up to anything fishy.. My money is on the search-bot..
Not that uncommon for the search bots to visit a lot, I think I had something like 300 visits from the adsense bot in about 2 months.
I've seen 2 types of Google bots 1. is the search bot with ident Googlebot/2.1 2. the AdSense bot with ident Mediapartners-Google/2.1 I get lot's of visits from both when Google's staff check your website the ident is neither of them and the host is different can you tell what is the host or IP?
