    I think they will accept the cheque, my friend had earlier received citibank cheque from a survey site - which was also not having micr. I believe there should be nothing wrong with it, I will get to know for me as I deposit it :)

    There is no Problem if the MICR and Cheque no is not printed below.

    I got the similar one .. deposited in my HDFC bank saturday and it got cleared today so dont Worry

    There is no problem if you have received such a cheque. If the Bank employee says it wont clear speak directly to the manager and explain its not mandatory.

    For some of us, they sent through Blue-Dart courier for the first time at no extra charge just as a beta test. I think the test's success had not been very phenomenal seeing the response and delivery dates of most people here, and considering the fac that the cheques had been printed 18th February and sent from Hyderabad only! Secondly, they sent the cheques without MICR info, which confused some of us and some bankers too! :D I believe those who deposited cheques on Saturday or earlier must have got the money credited into their banks by now, as I have mine!

    some people complain in google forums that their check got dishonored. Could this be because of no micr code?

    Yeah, it might be the case, but MICR is not mandatory for your payment to be credited to your account.

    I got my Check yesterday and everything of it is all right. It's also contain 9 digits MICR number on my check. This check is for Feb month. Hope you can break your cheque without facing any problem from your bank.

    Which is your bank? I notice a 9 digit code on the back side of the cheque which looks like the MICR code.
