Adsense channels influence on performance ?

I read somewhere that somebody added channel and CPC dropped or something like this.

Does anybody has experience with that ?

 It is possible to create up to 200 channels, doesn't it slow ad load time or something ?

 Or how google looks at someone with 180 channels compared to one with 2 channels ?

I doubt if it makes one iota of difference.

I have notice that if you have multiple channels if a few of the channels do not get clicks, it will dramatically bring down your eCPM. I am not sure if this matters. I would like to know the answer to the channel question too.

    I didn't notice a difference when I added channels.

I thought channels were just for keeping track of what was clicked where.

Yeah, I was under the assumption that channels were used to show how well certain areas were performing compared to other areas.

Yeah, channels are just for keeping track, your CPC will still be the same with or without them.
