Adsense channel

    I am new to adsense and I don't know how to use the ad channel while getting a new code. I just leave it blank and continue with the code. Can anyone please tell how to use it and is it necessary.

    just create new channel and thats all. Where is a problem?

    when you do adsense setup , then ad new channeel for new site , soo simple

    If someone else could add a better explanation how to set it up it would be much appreciated because for me it is not soo simple.

    I will explain to create a ad unit that you want to put at the top of your site.

    In your adsense account, click on "adsense setup" then "AdSense for Content" then choose "Ad unit" and press continue.

    Now choose any format, I choose 336*280, press continue.

    Now click on "Add New Channel"

    A box will appear, enter any name I entered "Top Ad"

    After that continue and get your ad code.

    The channel is created and now you can track the top ad unit via this channel.
