i don't see adsense ads just black space for 1 page of my site. that page has gallery content or images. i created another page with duplicate content and now the adsense ads show up. just curious if anyone hear of Google blocking a specific URL within a site?

How long has the space been blank and are you sure you have the proper code in there ? I've never heard of Google blocking a specific page and usually they will show PSA's if they can't find a suitable ad.

well usually they blocked the whole domain including subdomains. I don't think AdSense has blocked the page unless they have notified you by a mail.

Maybe adsense cant find any keywords, which means it cant serve any relevant ads. Do you have public service ads on?

I think google can not understand what type of page keyword you are trying to show.

i think it's been blank for at least a week. can't exactly recall.

i think this might be the case where i didn't have meta tags or descriptions but i have other pages within my gallery where the ads did show which did not have meta tags or descriptions.

i think this is the most plausible answer. anyhow, i'll see if it happens again on the new page with duplicate content. i've now started to add meta tags and descriptions to my gallery pages. i've seen in the TOS that you must add those for ads that serve video pages.

Is there not a setting in Adsense Setup where you specify what you want to happen if it finds no suitable ads to display. PSA's are one option, but isn't one of the other options to just display a coloured block? Can't access my setup at work to look.
