I am finally getting rid of AdSense after months of abuse. Any suggestions of what I should use in its place? I am already planning on using Amazon, Text Link Ads and personal contracts. Any others?

Kontera has performed very good for me, almost as good as Adsense.

Can you describe your "months of abuse" ?

What is your niche site about? Not all sites work well with affiliate programs.

I sometimes set up ads to look similar to the adsense ads but have them going to my own websites and products, or even to affiliate products. That has worked well for me.

Sinergize Bidvertiser and Kontera, bidv will replace your adsense unit (the payout is not as high as adsense, but it's fairly worth trying), and Kontera will take the rest.

The G, man :) It's been at least a month since I've requested a PIN, I've made only a little over 100 dollars since December 2006 with a fair amount of hits, so on so forth.

Thanks, I think I'll try Kontera

That could just be down to your niche, and the type of your traffic. Look at where most of your visitors are coming from, what their interests are, and so on. You can find this information by examining your logs to find the keywords they type in to get to your website, and which pages they look at. It could simply be that you're attracting the wrong visitors.

Text Link Ads rock my world, I have to be honest. I'll probably be dropping AdSense off some of my sites shortly because TLA are miles better.

I know a lot of people are saying kontera is the way to go, but as a viewers perception, don't use that.

It's downright annoying to anyone visiting the site.

Kontera is irritating for users which has to be a reason not to use it. You want users to return to your site, not p*** them off.

CJ + individual good affiliates + Click Bank related to your site can work well on some niches....

I had a dating niche site making around 50 -60 $ a month in Adsense ... i tries seeling some affiliate products and made 240 $ in 2 months along with the normal adsense revenue...

Yeah, good for you.. I am looking for other ways to earn from my website myself. The problem that i faced with one of the other companies was the slow speed of ad loading.

you don't need any other, text link ads are simply great, though if you have high traffic and good alexa rank, then perhaps the adbrite will also work fine with you!
amazon is great, am sure you will earn a lot from it too, and you are right about the adsense, i have adsense only on a few select sites with huge unique contents, on others i prefer text link ads!:)
