Adsense banners stopped being served around the 25th July

    Hello all,

I have been running Adsense on my site, without issue, since early 2008. A few days ago I have noticed a massive drop in revenue. On checking Adsense reports it would seem that no banners have been served since the 25th/26th July. On checking the site (there have been no changes since March) all the code for the banners is in place and being sent to browsers correctly.

In an attempt to find a solution to the issue I have followed the Google Adsense Troubleshooter here:

    http://support.google.com/adsense/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1208336

This did not identify any issues and advised me to contact Google, which I have. However it takes a few days for this to be turned around in Google, all the while site revenue is at zero. Which is a touch problematic for a site that doesn't operate for profit, rather just to cover hosting costs.

In order to double check things I have created new ad units and placed these on the site. The same issues occurs with these, i.e. where the banner should be there is an empty area of the same size as the banner. Using PageSpeed in Firefox I can see that the browser is making a call out to:

    http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js

I can also see the response that is returned, the response contains a load javascript which looks to be the code necessary to show the banner.

There should be a banner just below the main navigation bar on most pages (pages like TOS, Login, Register etc have banners disabled as these are non-content pages). In addition to the header banner there should also be 2 square banners after the first post in forum threads.

Finally, this isn't something localised to a specific computer (i.e. javascript being disabled), all site users are advising that no banners are being displayed and an impressions count of zero on Adsense reporting confirms this.

Could anybody give me an idea as to what to check?

If it helps at all, the site url is therevcounter.com

    Many thanks

EDIT : As a related aside, I also use Google Search on my site and this is operating normally.

Maybe they disabled ad serving to that particular code? Make another banner ad code and replace the old one. Check if you already of 3 ads on the page. If none is working, and you really must have that ad, then ask support.
